About The Festival:
This year was the tenth Southampton Beer Festival. The beer festival was organised and
run by unpaid volunteers who are members of the
Southern Hampshire Branch of the
Wessex Region of
CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale).
- The "Hampshire Beer of the Year 2006" competition was judged and announced on the Thursday night of the festival.
Oakleaf Hole Hearted was voted "Hampshire Beer of the Year" by our tasting panel for the second consecutive year, and for the fourth time in five years.
- Beer of the Festival is voted for by the customers of Southampton Beer Festival.
This year's Beer of the Festival was "Summer is Icumin"
from Triple fff Brewery, near Alton.
