New for 2024 is a group of real ale socials.
Two of them are in regular venues, The Hour Glass, New Milton, and the Park Inn, Shirley, the other tours around Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.

Celebrating Rob Whatley Waterloo Arms, 101 Waterloo Road, Southampton, SO15 3BS Two years ago our much loved friend Rob Whatley sadly passed away. Let’s get together from 8:30pm at the Waterloo Arms to celebrate his life, share memories, and remember him. Flower Pots 50 years GBG Presentation Flower Pots Inn, Brandy Mount, Cheriton, SO24 0QQ A trip to Flower Pots to present a plaque for being in the Good Beer Guide for 50 years and some beer festival certificates for their beers. Note that the pub will be running their annual beer festival so there will be plenty of beers to try out. We'll be catching the 67 bus departing Winchester Bus Station at 13:20 or if coming by train, get onto the bus at City Road bus stop (just past the Gurkha's Inn) at 13:25. For those who want to spend extra time at the beer festival you can catch the bus that leaves the Bus Station at 11:30 (11:35 at City Road). The return bus leaves Cheriton at 17:07. Annual Informal Cricket knock-about and picnic Southampton Sports Centre Meet on the cricket pitch nearest the Dunkirk Road car park, or phone 07968 909291 to find out which pitch we've moved to. All standards welcome – yes we really mean this, no experience necessary. Everyone gets to bat and bowl. We will be using (softer) wind balls, not hard cricket balls.
